Baking soda is a common kitchen skin care hack followed by many women, It will not do any good to your skin in log run and instead with rip off the skin's natural moisture.
Any beauty recipe that includes baking soda cannot be gentle on your skin.
Let’s explain why:
· It is too alkaline. Your skin naturally has a pH level of around 5.5, making it slightly acidic. Your skin is slightly acidic in order to protect itself from viral infections and bacterial infections. This called acid mantle of the skin which formed natural to lock in skin’s moisture.
· When you use products, like baking soda, which has a pH level of around 8.3, alkaline nature of this product spoils your skin’s natural acid mantle. Which in turn spoils your skin’s natural moisture.
· Just applying it on your skin itself is bad; imagine what happens to your skin when you are exfoliating with baking soda.
· So, stop using baking soda, instead start using natural and safe ingredients to make your glow masks.
